SHIMANO M575 DEORE DISC BRAKES

Shimano’s M535 Deore disc brakes have been one of our favourite bargain brakes for a while now, but for 2009 they’ve also added this M575 version to the Deore line up and it looks even better value.

The main difference is the levers, which now come with a split clamp (a first for Shimano) and can be run either way up. The second difference is that they’re sold as a fully bled lever and calliper package, without a disc rotor.
This helps explain the even more ridiculously bargainous (I know that’s not a real word, but I like it) price, but it’ll also make more sense to people who either already have some old but perfectly useable rotors, or want to run bigger rotors than the M535 version comes with as standard.

They might not be the most beautiful or light brakes you can buy, but they’re certainly one of the cheapest and if past history is anything to go by the performance will be great.
